Reproducing Dallas History

A piece of Dallas History was up for auction today. A Chickering reproducing piano from 1929 provided entertainment during preview events including last night's Bourbon tasting at Heritage Auctions. One of the paper scrolls rotating on the instrument was apparently recorded by George Gershwin himself making it so you are essentially hearing Gershwin play the piano. The piano was purchased by Clare Stern for the opulent lobby of the Claremont Hotel, Dallas.
